About NRGY HUB
In the project World-class energy solutions, NRGY HUB, a unique environment is being developed that increases the opportunities for faster development of new energy solutions. The goal is to create physical testbeds, open data and various business support processes for innovators and companies.
Project goals

To achieve increased resource efficiency through the development and introduction of energy- and climate-efficient technology, behavioral changes and community planning initiatives.

To create an internationally competitive development node
for energy efficiency, identifying system and cost-effective solutions. -
To create a co-producing hub for East Middle Sweden that builds a long-term structure for co-ownership.
Activities in the project

Make testbeds / demonstration environments available to the project partners.

Establish continued data collection to enable further research and development together with business and other actors.

Provide support to companies in different growth phases and create models and processes for how to succeed in globalized markets.

Together with industry and society, we investigate and evaluate various innovative solutions for the future.

At NRGY HUB, we work to open up large amounts of data. Data that can be used for research and innovation companies to enable new solutions.
Since 1861, we have worked in the service of society and built up society and its infrastructure. Water, electricity, heating and cooling as well as communication solutions via fiber are our job. Everything that our customers require in order to have a simple and sustainable everyday life.
We believe in collaboration and within NRGY HUB - where we use data from the city - we want to accelerate the development of novel solutions and business models that contributes to reduced climate impact, efficient use of resources and increased sustainability.
Create is responsible for an accelerator program for energy-relevant companies. We ensure that these start-ups get in touch with relevant stakeholders within and outside the project. In that way we connect testbeds, data, knowledge and company needs.

Our goal is for NRGY HUB to create an environment that attracts companies from Sweden and all over the world that have interesting solutions in the area. By attracting this type of innovation, we can use the knowledge in the environment to adapt to needs, develop and commercialize it in a way that benefits SMEs on a larger scale and large companies in the regions.
The founders of STUNS have the goal to establish the Uppsala region as a leader in the country for experimental development in the energy and environmental area. This by becoming the natural place for people and organizations with a great interest in energy / environment / climate to study in, research, develop their company in and locate their product development processes in.
Part of that is to proactively work with talent attraction from universities and other areas, and create good conditions for product development processes. We do this, for example, by giving innovation companies the opportunity to test their products and services in the network of test beds / demo environments that is available via STUNS.
We at Studsvik Tech Park contribute to the project with access to our built environment, where we provide physical test environments.
Our area is self-sufficient when it comes to the production of water, electricity, heating, comfort and process cooling and much more. We offer world-class test environments.
By bringing startups and ABB together through our innovation growth hub SynerLeap, we strive to ignite innovation transfer across industries, ranging from industrial automation, robotics to grid technologies, smart cities, buildings and transportation technologies.
Our aim is to help startups accelerate and expand on a global market together with ABB. We help startups take the big leap.
SynerLeap offers mentorship, investments, and a unique access to ABB’s networks, clients and technology.
Together with Create, SynerLeap has been involved in developing the NRGY HUB Scaleup Program.
The Swedish Energy Agency is leading society's transition to a sustainable energy system.
We contribute with facts, knowledge, and analysis of supply and use of energy in the society, as well as work towards security of energy supply.

Research on new and renewable energy technologies, smart grids, as well as vehicles and transport fuels of the future receives funding from us. We also support business development that allows commercialisation of energy related innovations, and ensure that promising cleantech solutions can be exported.

The Swedish Energy Agency has contributed to the project by opening up and making data available from some of their national measurement projects.
